Abstract：This paper raises some ideas based on "the Maps about the Ancient City's Evolution" from the book "xian Map Atlas". The paper discusses maps of the subject in cartograph-the significance, the chracteristics and the method of drawing up the urbon historical maps, and it attaches the importance to dicussing the method of how to design and deal with the content of the modle cities. It also points out that this work is valuable in application for modern cities' building and the study of urbon historical geography.
